BIO
Dimitris Vlaikos is a visual director and portrait photographer based in Athens. He develops narratives that explore portraiture, editorial, corporate, headshot, commercial and advertising projects. He contributes to concept development, visual direction and image production, providing his services to cultural institutions, brands, agencies and publishers world over. His considered approach and ability to build a connection with his subjects, allow his images to feel honest and timeless. His work has been awarded prizes in magazines such as National Geographic and British Professional Photographer, vogue, covers, advertising campaigns and organisations across the Globe. In 2022 he published his first photography book titled “Myrmidones“.

Dr. Valavanis currently serves as the president of ICOI-Hellas, Ambassador and member on the board of directors of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), board member of the SENAME Implantology Association (Naples-Italy) and on the senior editorial Board for the “implant dentistry” journal. He is a fellow of the International College of Dentists (ICD). He is also founding member and implantology specialist of the German Implantology Society (DGOI) and Diplomate in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Greek World Champions
Lefteris Petrounias, Vasiliki Millousi and Lefteris Kosmidis are Greek World Champions in Gymnastics. Recently they won Golden medals in competitions in France and Germany. I was very happy and proud when the staff of Proto Thema News call me and hire me to photoshoot the three Athletes for their interview in People magazine. The photoshoot took place in Agios Kosmas Training center. Here are the two photos that have been chosen by the Newspaper and published on 07/04/13
