Monk Epifanios
In a continuation from the previous tribute of taste and recipes of the monastic community of Mount Athos (Agio Oros). This time I have visited monk Epifanios covering for some days his monastic life at Mylopotamos of Mount Athos. The main subject of this tribute was the food photography of his recipes and portraits of his monastic life. I took photos of 40 of his recipes as final dishes in different locations of Mylopotamos area. The book buplished in Greece by Kathimerini publication includes 40 recipes by monk Epifanios and portraits of his daily monastic life. T texts by the food editors Angelos Redoulas & Maria Vasilopoulou.
Cretan Food & Culture
A travel tribute about Cretan life, food and gastronomy culture for Gastronomos Magazine. With the travel and food editor Nena Demetriou, we crossed over Rethymno mountains, covering the cretan life through the people of small local productions, like farmers, cheese & honey makers, shepherds and many other people that in open heart, generosity and hospitality, made us feel Crete like our home. Some of the published portrait photographs and moments from this food & travel tribute is following.
Oinoxoos After Quarantine Cover
The greek magazine "Oinochoos" about the Greek wine and wine culture, first cover after quarantine days. The idea was a cover of showing our common emotions due of the quarantine days and the step by step come back of us in normality. Over all comes the role of wine in the greek culture and economy.
In this magazine cover I used portrait photography and a dystopic scenery as backround to capture the different forms and emotions of human beings on the five magazine editors to describe balance - independence - the next unknown step - stability - social distancing. A look to the future, ours and the Greek wine from the ancient times to the present day, is a cornerstone of our culture, tradition and prosperity.
