Oinoxoos After Quarantine Cover
The greek magazine "Oinochoos" about the Greek wine and wine culture, first cover after quarantine days. The idea was a cover of showing our common emotions due of the quarantine days and the step by step come back of us in normality. Over all comes the role of wine in the greek culture and economy.
In this magazine cover I used portrait photography and a dystopic scenery as backround to capture the different forms and emotions of human beings on the five magazine editors to describe balance - independence - the next unknown step - stability - social distancing. A look to the future, ours and the Greek wine from the ancient times to the present day, is a cornerstone of our culture, tradition and prosperity.
Dear editors of "Oinochoos" magazine thank you from the bottom of my heart for your cooperation and trust for this cover.
Published on June 6th with Kathimerini newspaper Sunday Edition.

My approach to photography is rooted in storytelling and careful observation rather than performance. I am interested in what feels real, in the details that reveal identity and in the moments where personality surfaces naturally. Influenced by documentary traditions and contemporary portraiture, I aim to create images that are honest, timeless, and emotionally precise—photographs that do not simply describe how someone looks, but suggest who they are. With years of experience working across editorial, commercial, and personal projects, I treat every subject as a singular story rather than a repetition of a formula. Each collaboration is different, because each person is different. My goal is always the same: to create portraits that respect individuality, honor complexity, and preserve a small, truthful fragment of human presence in time.Dimitris Vlaikos, Photographer

Observing people, I am amazed by the many different expressions a human being can have. Ηow unique each one of us is as we express our own culture, language, family, country, profession, and way of life. Ιt is what i find most fascinating as i endeavour to capture it in photographs.
