Dan Gilbert, the psychologist of Harvard was one of the speakers of Athens TED 2014. Dan Gilbert believes that, in our ardent, lifelong pursuit of happiness, most of us have the wrong map. In the same way that optical illusions fool our eyes — and fool everyone’s eyes in the same way — Gilbert argues that our brains systematically misjudge what will make us happy. And these quirks in our cognition make humans very poor predictors of our own bliss. The photoshoot of Daniel Gilbert took place at the suite of New Hotel at Syntagma square in Athens. The view of Acropolis from the bedroom of the suite in combination with the white “psychoanalysis bed” and the peaceful and “positive” blue of the wall seemed to be the perfect background for this shot! It was the perfect visualised description of the words of Psychologist Daniel Gilbert about his new book “the Secret of Happiness” in the heart of Athens! .  After the end of the photoshoot Dan told me… “It was the first time I lie down for a photographer”.

Thank you Dan, I hope you haven’t regretted! The photoshoot and the interview by theScience and Medical Journalist Aspasia Daskalopoulou published in K magazine of Kathimeri the September of 2014.
