David Kennedy

Everything is about energy. People, places, things, houses, sculptures. You have to see the energy around you, to read it every time. It’s a whole new world in front of you. Something you feel with all your senses, something much more than meets the eye. David is an 82 years sculptor. A close friend of Kapralos, for the last 40 years he lives in Sfedouri, an isolated village of Aegina. Many people believe that he is one of the most interesting Greek artists of our days. From the first time you meet him you can feel this great energy flowing from him and his work. Sculptures, kitchen tools, even his house, a whole universe made by his hands I visited many times him and his wife Maya, who is a great cook, at this magic castle of theirs, and I dedicate this portrait video and photos to him and his life as an artist, as well as a human being. His life could be a lesson for all of us.

Pure Fitness by Fotini Bitrou

Every day we are trying to have a better life or a better quality of life. We are working more and more trying to create things we want, things that will make us happy.

The last year I considered that the most important thing is our self. If you haven’t good health in your body and soul and if you don’t take care of them, you can't have or enjoy, or love anything else. That’s why I loved yoga. Yoga is the combine of body and mind, is the total balance of your self. My Teacher in yogaFotini Bitrou, decided to publish all this staff and share them on the web. She created a website named www.purefitness.gr and cooperated with me for the pictures of the website content.

Panagiotis Tetsis

Panayiotis Tetsis (GreekΠαναγιώτης Τέτσης 1925 – 5 March 2016) was a Greek painter. Tetsis was an exponent of the post-impressionistic seascape tradition.

Though the artist depicts marine themes that are familiar to him - mostly set against the backdrop of Hydra and Sifnos. “If I take a long voyage at sea, I get bored,” Tetsis says, “and I don’t agree with Cavafy that headed for Ithaca we ought to hope that the voyage lasts as long as possible.” And he added: “I paint a large number of my seas from memory. I don’t need to paint them from life. And even if I do, I change them later in my studio, even changing them totally.”

Balancing discipline and emotion, Tetsis regards himself as a painter driven by the senses. His singularity, according to Koutsomallis, consists in his combination of “elegiac colour tones, compositional clarity and precision, thematic variety, a monumental character and freely, openly sketched contours”.

In 1949 Tetsis along with Nikos Hadjikyriakos-GhikasYannis MoralisNikos NikolaouNikos Engonopoulos and Yiannis Tsarouchis, established the "Armos" art group.
